Issue/Introduction

Advanced Authentication Mainframe TSO authentication returns from the Radius server, MFASTC shuts itself down with this message:
Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: 'name': 'name': EDC9501I The name does not resolve for the supplied parameters.

Environment

Product: Advanced Authentication Mainframe

Resolution

Firewall rules not in place on the RADIUS server.

Also, verify IP address resolution table (DNS) is set up correctly so that you don't receive the error that occurs when the radius request is trying to obtain the IP address of this LPAR.
