Negative stats value observed for Logical Router in NSX in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

We see negative stats value for Logical Router in NSX through Aria Operations.

 

 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

API call from Aria Operations to NSX for data collection might return current cumulative value lesser than previous one ,due to which discrete values which are calculated as Current Value - Previous Value might result in negative values - which will be impacting the pricing logic as these metrics will be used by VCD MP which further translates to pricing logic .

Resolution

This a known issue and is fixed in VMware Aria Operations 8.18
