Issue/Introduction

Problem:

Plan Analyzer Explain results in this error:

SQL error in PLAN PPAMPLAN in DBRM [email protected] statement 2,424

SSID: DBGP DB2 VERSION: V10R1M0

DSNT408I SQLCODE = -444, ERROR: USER PROGRAM [email protected] COULD NOT BE FOUND

Resolution:

When using explain option SPEXPL  = (Y) Plan Analyzer s CA Plan Analyzer use stored procedure [email protected]  to perform EXPLAIN.

If the load library is missing in the WLM environment, you get the SQL-444

Note: If the stored procedure is missing in DB2, you get a SQL-440

You can read more about using the Stored Procedure for explain in the PPA User Guide:

https://docops.ca.com/display/CAPADB218/Authority+to+Execute+an+EXPLAIN+PLAN

If you want to use the PPA Procedure, it must be installed. This is an optional step in the post-installation. See highlvl.CDBASAMP(PPACUST) and section ‘How to Customize CA Plan Analyzer’ in the r18 Installation Guide.

If you do not have the need for using this Stored Procedure just remove SPEXPL  = (Y) .

This card is not included when the profile option ‘Use Stored Proc. for Explain ‘ is set to N.
