VCF WLD Deploy fails on deploying NSX managers with error: "NSX Manager operation status is false on"

Issue/Introduction

• When deploying a workload domain, it fails on deploying NSX Manager(s) and the operation status is showing as false.

• SDDC - /var/log/vmware/vcf/domainmanager/domainmanager.log shows errors similar to:
  
  error getting certificate chain failed - no route to host
timeout waiting for NSX Manager to become operational
  
  Note: the above are false positives.
  
  
• The true error is seen from journalctl -xe command on the deployed NSX VM.
  
  ifup: failed to bring up eth0

Environment

VCF 5.0

Cause

NSX is failing to bring up the eth0 network adapter. 

 

 

 

Resolution

To resolve this , delete the domain and clean up any objects remaining and retry the VCF workflow.
