Issue/Introduction

Problem:

When a calendar is imported from a flat file using the autocal_asc utility, the contents of the existing calendar are replaced by those contained in the imported file.

The Import is treated as forced replace instead of checking for existence of calendar and sometimes deletes all existing dates and replaces with only new dates.

this will impact the scheduler as the job schedule change

Environment:

Any

Cause:

The AutoSys Calendar Utility (autocal_asc) replaces the existing
calendar instead of merging new dates into the existing calendar
when a legacy-style command input file containing new dates
is passed using input redirection operator (<). Hence, the calendar
contained only the new dates while losing the dates that were
added previously.

Resolution:

Apply one of these patch/service pack :

CA WAAE r11.3.5 INC4
CA WAAE r11.3.6 SP2
CA WAAE r11.3.6 SP3

Additional information:

Here is the workaround procedure to update an existing calendar:
1. Export the existing calendar
autocal_asc -E C:\temp\adddate.txt -s TEST_STD_CAL
2. Update the file to add/delete dates from file C:\temp\adddate.txt
3. Import the calendar
autocal_asc -I C:\temp\adddate.txt -s TEST_STD_CAL
