I have changed the PARMLIB settings, but Vtape is not using the new settings.

Issue/Introduction

The PARMLIB was updated, but when I issue an SVT1 Display Parmlib console command, the old settings are displayed.

Not all PARMLIB parameters can be dynamically changed. Only the parameters in the following sections can be changed and dynamically reloaded with a REFRESH command:

USS Mount Points	VUSSMNTS	SVTS REFRESH=USS

 

Parameters in the following sections can only be activated by stopping and starting Vtape:

PeerToPeer Options	VTP2POPT
Startup Commands	VTSCMDS
Shutdown Commands	VTPCMDS

 

If you have issued the appropriate REFRESH command for the PARMLIB member changed, check the command output to make sure that the change was accepted. The command output also displays the PARMLIB data set name and the PARMILB member name that were used for the refresh. Make sure that the update was made in the active PARMILB data set and PARMLIB member.
