Hierarchy Management Access Credentials Not Updated on Child SMPs

Issue/Introduction

You may have a requirement to change your application identity username and password every few months.  To accomplish this you might be using two different accounts that you change the password for and then swap out to the other account in the SMP console.

The problem is, when you change the application identity to use another account, the old account is still shown on the child SMP server for hierarchy management, Access Credentials.

On the Parent SMP server, customer will navigate to the hierarchy management page, and right-click on the Child SMP, choosing Edit.  It will look like the following:

On the child SMP server the customer will navigate to the same section.  Right-clicking on the parent SMP server and then choosing Edit.  The following is seen:

Notice it is not set to use application credentials and is using a specific account.  The specific account is the application identity account; however, it's the older one.

This issue has been fixed in our ITMS 8.7.3

Workaround:

On each child SMP server, modify the access credentials to use application credentials as well as under Advanced.  Save changes.
