unknown class_id for Windows 11 computers

Issue/Introduction

In DSM Explorer Windows 11 machines appears with OS unkown class_id=55??

 

Example :

unknown class_id=5570

 

Environment

Client Automation 14.5 CU6 or CU7

Resolution

1. Check that "Default Software Contents Download Job" has been executed successfully recently by the engine.
   
   
   
   
   
2. With following SQL Query
   
   select * from ca_class_def where class_name like 'Windows 11%'
   
   Check that 16 rows are returned and class_id indicated is message is present.
   Example class_id 5570 is present and is for "Windows 11 Pro x64"
   
   
   
   
   
3. Windows 11 23H2 certification needs the patch 99111996 for 14.5 CU6
   
   ITCM - Windows 11 23H2 Agent Certification
   
   This patch must be installed on the Agents and also on the Domain Manager.
   This patch is included in CU7
   
   On Domain Manager check the date and size of file C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Agent\OSConfig.xml
   
   it should be :
   
   14 December 2023 with size 140,998 bytes (patch 99111996)
   
   
   or
   29 April 2024 with size 141,420 bytes (CU7 patch)
   
   
   
   or a more recent date in future version
   
   
   
4. Check in following registry key
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\Unicenter ITRM\InstallDirConfigData if a different path has been specified for InstallDirConfigData :
   
   
   If a different path has been configured do the checking of OSConfig.xml of step 3 in directory <configured_InstallDirConfigData>\Agent
