Issue/Introduction

You have an On-premise Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) environment and Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) native cloud environment. The SEP clients are at 14.3 RU7 or lower version.

You wish to upgrade these SEP clients to the latest version and migrate to SES cloud console.  You download 14.3 RU8 Full Installation package "Symantec_Agent_Setup.exe" and run the package on the SEP client.


The client gets upgraded to 14.3 RU8 version however does not report to SES cloud console.

The Cloud Connection Status shows "Not Enrolled" with unknown error :

Environment

SEP 14.3 RU7 and older.

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in 14.3 RU9 version.
As a workaround, Use the same cloud installation package 'Symantec_Agent_Setup.exe' and run below command to enroll the device to cloud console :

smc -cloudmanaged path\to\Symantec_Agent_Setup.exe
