Issue/Introduction

Compatibility of the HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen 10 with VMware version 8 update 2

Environment

VMware version 8

Cause

HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen 10 is a ready node and want to check if the vSAN OSA and ESA compatibility.

Resolution

For vSAN OSA we only look at is the system supported by ESXi at that build, and then the disks used for vSAN, storage controllers used for vSAN, and NIC if using RDMA.

For vSAN ESA there are much more restrictive requirements based off of ready node configurations as described at https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=vsanesa

ESA - this model is not on ready node configuration, as per this KB some hardware components can be changed so would need to be matched to their exact components to verify https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=90343

Final say is Not for ESA  , Yes for OSA as long as components on the vsan io HCL link.

Also work with your hardware vendor to make sure all components match from the ESA HCL/Ready Node configurations.
