When ConnectALL synchronizes some date fields from Rally, the date is advanced by one day in the target system.
For example, if synchronizing the Planned End Date field in Rally to a date field in Jira, the date field value in Jira shows Rally's date as one day in the future.
Rally v1 adapter
Date fields in Rally are always date/time fields, even though the user interface does not show it. This means, that when you select a date in Rally, it is stored as that date in GMT with a time zone offset based on the Rally workspace time zone settings. Additionally, certain date fields, like Planned End Date, are stored with a time representing the end of the day to ensure that all records for the time period between Planned Start Date and Planned End Date are shown properly.
For example, your workspace is configured for eastern time. If you select May 31, 2024 as your Planned End Date we would actually store that as May 31, 2024 11:59 PM plus 4 hours for the GMT time zone offset. So the actual date stored in the database is June 1, 2024 3:59 AM. When Rally retrieves the date to show in the user interface, the time zone offset from the workspace is applied to the date and it shows in the user interface correctly, however the API will always show the raw date value without adjustment.
Because of this, when ConnectALL retrieves the date value from Rally, it only considers the June 1, 2024 portion of the date value and passes that to Jira. Jira then stores that date as an unadjusted value.
Support can provide a script to adjust the date time stamp back by a certain number of hours for those fields during the synch process.
Here is information on how to Add a new script to ConnectALL: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/valueops/connectall/3-0/User-guide_173638183/Advanced-Configuration_173638950/Manage-Scripts_173639052_manage_scripts.html
The new Rally adapter available in ConnectALL 3.4 will be able to compensate the timestamp to provide the correct date to Jira.
