Issue/Introduction

How to configure Service Catalog with multiple EEM Servers in failover

Environment

Service Catalog 17.x

Multiple EEM 12.x servers configured with failover

Resolution

1. Stop Service Catalog Services

2. Run the Service Catalog Setup Utility (using localhost from the Catalog server) > Log into the utility > Click on Next for the Database item

3. In the Security page, Add the EEM hostnames separated by a comma (ie: server1,server2)

4. Save Changes

Note: To confirm the changes have been implemented, review the eiam.backend option in the config.properties located in the Service Catalog home folder. Do not change the config.properties manually.
