The node count on the Kubernetes Overview report may seem inflated. However, we count these in a specific way.
The number of nodes in the Kubernetes Overview report represents the number of unique nodes (By name) over the past 30 days:
This should correlate with what you see for total counts in the Kubernetes Nodes Usage report in the Daily granularity. So if you go into the Kubernetes Nodes Usage report in the Daily granularity and categorize by Node Name, you can see the list of all of the nodes at the bottom right:
Also, always check with the cluster administrator to see if the cluster in question has autoscaling enabled. This can result in higher than expected node count since each autoscale node created has a unique name which gets counted in the overall total over 30 days.
