Baselining is an option that produces baseline QOS data that is displayed in the performance reports once the baseline data is collected for a few weeks.

In the Admin Console, if you don't check the baseline box for a QOS metric for a given probe on a particular robot or set of robots that belong to a hub, you can deactivate the baseline_engine and prediction_engine probe on that hub without any adverse impact.

Later if you decide you/the customer needs to use baselining, you can enable those probes.
