Issue/Introduction

Immediately after creating a Conditional Formatting (CF) rule using TSV Total or Grand Total columns, the formatting is not applied until after navigation or the page is manually refreshed.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Projects Grid
  2. Use the column picker and add the ETC TSV (Grand Totals and Periods) to the grid
  3. Click on the Conditional Formatting icon
  4. Create a rule as follows:
    • Select Active = true , color = yellow and in the To Dropdown select the Per Period TSV ETC
    • Observe the ETC Totals the formatting is not applied

Expected Results: A newly created, enabled conditional formatting rule should be applied to the TSV Total or Grand Total columns immediately.

Actual Results: The formatting is not applied immediately.

Workaround: Navigate away and return or refresh the browser page.

Environment

Clarity Release 16.2.2

Cause

DE80597

Resolution

Resolved in Release 16.2.3 - no need to refresh or revisit the page after making the conditional formatting configuration changes.

Note: By design, the initial implementation for conditional formatting on TSV data-type fields is only applied to the Total or Grand Total cells and NOT to the Per-Period cells. This is due because the TSV 'Total' or 'Grand Total' is used in filtering and the per-period fields are not yet implemented for filtering.  The per-period values may be enhanced in the future for use in filtering and conditional formatting functionality.
