No data showing in Interfaces tab for any devices in Operator Console - how to enable?

Issue/Introduction

In Operator Console, each device has an 'Interfaces' tab but when I click on this, I always get a page that says "No Data Found."

 

What populates this data?  How can I enable it?

 

Cause

No data from an appropriate source.

Resolution

In terms of DX UIM probes, only the snmpcollector probe populates the interface information within the Operator Console.    The nic_monitor probe does not populate this page, nor does the cdm probe when configured for interface monitoring.

In snmpcollector v2.0+, you can configure metrics for multiple systems by activating a monitoring template. Applying the snmpcollector probe’s default monitoring template to your target systems will configure all of the metrics shown in the Device Interface View.

This data can also be populated by integrations with CA NFA or CA ADA but this is less common.

If the snmpcollector probe is not monitoring the devices, and/or these product integrations are not in place, the data will not be populated.
