Unable to Download Cloud Proxy OVA from Aria Operations

As a result of the VMware to Broadcom transition, some URLs hosted on vmware.com are no longer reachable. 
Specifically, starting May 6, the link to download the cloud proxy OVA file became unreachable when adding a new proxy from within the Aria Operations product UI under Data Sources > Cloud Proxies > Add > Download Cloud Proxy OVA.

This issue was caused by the VMware support transition to Broadcom and all processing of systems changing over to Broadcom systems.


To download the Cloud Proxy OVA file for your installed version of Aria Operations:

  1. Login to the Broadcom Support Portal
  2. Click My Downloads on the left panel
  3. At the top of the page, to the left of your profile name, select VMware Cloud Foundation from the product line drop down menu.
  4. In the 'Search by Product Name' box, type in Aria Operations (the results should be automatically filtered)
  5. Select 'VMware Aria Operations' in the search results.
  6. You will need to click the VMware Aria Operations record shown to expand the list of product versions.
  7. Select your installed version of the product
  8. Select the check box for 'I agree to Broadcom Terms and Conditions' once you have read the terms.
  9. Download the ova file VMware Aria Operations Cloud Appliance - VMware Aria Operations Cloud Proxy
  10. Proceed to install the Cloud Proxy from the product UI starting with Step 2 within Data Sources > Cloud Proxies > Add 

         NOTE: You may want click the refresh button on step 4 within the Add Cloud Proxy page in the product UI to get a new unique registration key.
