Issue/Introduction

Content Analysis is unable to download the Symantec AV pattern updates. The following errors are observed in CAS log file:

Packet capture shows no traffic to liveupdate.symantec.com

Cause

Symantec AV updates fail when the default URL for live update is missing https:// and 'Use Proxy' is enabled:

Resolution

Configure https://liveupdate.symantec.com as URL
