Issue/Introduction

We have a need to change the IP address of the server where the Virtual Network Assurance (VNA) is running.

Cause

1. Network Infrastructure Changes:

   • Organizations may undergo network infrastructure upgrades or reconfigurations, necessitating changes to IP addressing schemes to accommodate new network layouts or expansions.

2. IP Address Conflict Resolution:

   • Instances of IP address conflicts, where multiple devices share the same IP address, may occur within the network. Changing the IP address of the server can resolve such conflicts and restore network connectivity.

3. Security Enhancements:

   • As part of security measures, organizations may periodically rotate IP addresses to mitigate potential security risks or vulnerabilities associated with prolonged exposure of static IP addresses.

4. Geographical Relocation:

   • In scenarios where server relocation or migration to different physical locations occurs, adjustments to IP addressing may be necessary to align with the network configurations of the new environment.

5. Load Balancing and Traffic Optimization:

2. Server Restart:

3. Additional Considerations:

   • If NetOps Portal and Spectrum are integrated with VNA, it is imperative to update the IP address within these systems as well to maintain proper functionality and synchronization.
