Issue/Introduction

The present article describes how to obtain the version of the A2A client installed in Windows or Linux/UNIX

Resolution

The procedure used to determine the installed version of A2A varies depending on the OS:

  • On Windows releases there is a C:\cspm\cloakware\cspmclient\version file which contains the current installed version, in addition to the version listed in Microsoft Applications Installed as obtained from the Windows Control Panel
  • In the latest versions of A2A in Linux and UNIX there is A2A.version file stored in the CSPM_CLIENT_HOME folder to validate the version installed. In case the rpm file was used to install de agent in Linux, the rpm manager may be used to validate the version by running the following command: rpm -qa |grep A2A
  • For all older versions of the A2A or cspmclient in UNIX or Linux, where the version file does not exist, the strings command may be used to confirm the specific version installed. For instance:  strings cspmclient64 |grep 4.12
