MS SQL External Database error

Issue/Introduction

An 'External Connection' is defined in the 'Database' tab of the NSA. This connection is to an MS SQL Server DB. It is noticed that when this connection is made use of, via a Lookup etc. one of the following errors is shown:

• Connection unavailable
• Table or view does not exist

Cause

Kerberos authentication used to login to the external server.

Resolution

A direct login would be required to the external DB server.
