Issue/Introduction

Apple is introducing a privacy policy that requires a privacy manifest file in all new and updated iOS mobile applications published on the Apple App Store. The privacy manifest file lists the types of data collected by your mobile applications or any third-party SDKs and packages. The file also lists the reasons for using certain Required Reason APIs categories.

Apple is already sending out notices about including this policy in your mobile applications. From May 1, 2024, this privacy policy will be mandatory in order to pass the App Store review.

Refer to this link for more information: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/privacy_manifest_files.

Is there any plan on upgrading to Xcode15 for Advanced Authentication SDK?

Environment

CA Advanced Authentication 9.1.x

Resolution

The following Symantec Advanced Authentication SDKs are been updated with privacy manifest files and Xcode15 upgrade:

  • CA Mobile Authenticator SDK
  • CA AuthID SDK
  • CA DDNA SDK

You must update any mobile applications built using these SDKs to include the privacy manifest files. This is mandatory in order to pass the App Store review before publishing the mobile application.

The Symantec Advanced Authentication product team has developed updated versions of Mobile SDKs. The SDKs can be downloaded from the My Download page of the Broadcom Support website at https://support.broadcom.com. On the My Downloads page, go to the Solutions section and download the Syamantec-AdvancedAuth-9.1.x-iOS-Clients-SDK-Patch. Instruction on how to apply is available along with the patch.

Note: Existing mobile applications on the App Store are not impacted unless you republish them.
