MCS Deployed CDM Profiles to but I didn't configure any profile manually

Issue/Introduction

The MCS has deployed CDM Profiles to UNIX Autmatic Group but we have never set or configured any MCS CDM profiles from the OC. 

How did this happen? 

Environment

DX UIM 23.4.* / 20.4.*

 

Cause

Discovery Wizard for Remote And Cloud automatically deploys Base CMD configuration upon configuration. 

Resolution

When Using Setup Wizard (broadcom.com) specifically the Remote and Cloud options and then setting up Linux or Windows monitoring, the GUI clearly states: 

"Automatically monitor Linux devices
Default system monitoring for CPU, disk & memory will be applied"

 

So this is working as designed. 

 

 

Example on how this is set up: 

When the below steps are followed, CDM profiles will be deployed to the UNIX Group

 

 

Next Screen you get this.

NOTE: Even if you "untick" this box, the MCS profiles are deployed.
