VAIM UI is stuck on the loading page or cannot log in

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

VAIM is stuck on the login page at Loading Application.

Resolution:

  • Log into the VAIM Server and stop the below services
    • CAAIPApache
    • CAAIPTomcat
    • CA SM Domain Server
    • CA SM Distribution Server
    • ActiveMQ

  • Remove the below folders
    *Note: Please make a backup copy of all folders you delete
    • data folder located in \CA\VirtualAssurance\activemq\
    • localhost folder located in \CA\VirtualAssurance\tomcat\work\Catalina\
  • Start up the below services
    • ActiveMQ
    • CAAIPApache
    • CAAIPTomcat
    • CA SM Domain Server
    • CA SM Distribution Server
  • Wait 5 minutes, then Log into the VAIM UI

Additional Information:

  • If the above steps did not address the problem, please contact CA Technical Support to open a new case and include the following Rainer.log file to further investigate the root cause.
    • \CA\VirtualAssurance\apache\Rainer.log
