Introduction/Summary: 

If you want to have your SCM log files to be written to a folder other than your $CA_SCM_HOME/log folder, this can be done by configuring your argument files.

 

Environment:  

SCM Server, all platforms, all versions

 

Instructions: 

  1. Create new home folder and log folder inside it. 
  2. Add "-homedir=<new home folder>" to both hbroker.arg and hserver.arg 
  3. Copy *.arg and *.dfo to the new home folder 
  4. Restart SCM Broker and hserver 
  5. Check the new log folder to confirm logs are now populating there.
