Issue/Introduction

Problem: 

We installed the PEC, CAPKI and CLI untilities on a Linux RH 6 server.

When executing the hco commands or any commands. The following error occurs

/opt/CA/scm/bin/hco: line 137: /opt/CA/scm/lib/hco: cannot execute binary file

/opt/CA/scm/bin/hco: line 137: /opt/CA/scm/lib/hco: Success

Ownership and execute rights are to the app id @ 755

 

Environment:  

SCM 12.5 Client software on Linux platform

 

Cause: 

We checked and found that they had installed the AIX version of the SCM Client on the Linux server.

 

Resolution:

  1. Uninstalled the AIX versions of PEC, CAPKI and SCM Client components
  2. Installed the Linux versions of the components.
