SRAdmin install fails on win2012R2 with "Installer User interface Mode Not Supported"

Issue/Introduction

Installing Spectrum SRAdmin on a fresh Windows 2012 R2 server, is causing popup with error message "Installer User interface Mode Not Supported".

Cause

Installing Spectrum SRAdmin on Windows2012 R2 creates the following error message:

"Installer User interface Mode Not Supported"

The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -I command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI modes identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent.

Resolution

Running the SRAdmin installer in compatibility mode will resolve the problem.

- Right click the <install medium>\sdic\sradmin executable,
- select "Troubleshoot compatibility",
- enable "Try recommended Settings",
- click "Test the program" button.
