We want to implement the new option of MSGOPTS in CA ACF2 release 16.0. Can we do this now or do all sharing lpars of the database have to be at R16 ?

Issue/Introduction

Question:

We want to implement the new option of MSGOPTS in CA ACF2 release 16.0. Can we do this now or do all sharing lpars of the database have to be at R16 ?

Environment:

One LPAR is running ACF2 release 16 and two are running ACF2 release 15.  All three share the ACF2 databases.

Answer:

You can implement the change on the R16 system now.  Only R16 will see and recognize this new parameter.  The other two lpars will be oblivious to the GSO record.
