Identifying superseding PTF

Issue/Introduction

Question:

When I see a PTF in received superseded status, how can I tell what it is superseded by?

Using the mainframe SMP/E I was able to determine the superseding PTF.

Answer:

What you could do is go to the SMP/E environment tab , click on your CSI name then click the "SMP/E Environment Information" tab, click the "Create LIST ALLZONES Report". 

After it is done, click Progress. show results, click the report name, example: "LIST ALLZONES Report for BARRA01.DATACOM.DB140.CSI"

Click actions for SMPLIST, then download as TXT. You can find what PTF supersedes the received superseded PTF. 

For example the maintenance let's say RO36611 is received superseded. In the report I do a find on RO36611 and you will see:

RO46140 TYPE = PTF 
DESCRIPTION = PROVIDE CODE FOR FUTURE PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT 
STATUS = REC 
DATE/TIME REC = 16.014 12:42:11 
SOURCEID = CAP1206 
CAR1210 
APPLY ZONE = CAIT0 
SREL VER(001) = Z038 
FMID VER(001) = CAADE00 
SUPING VER(001) = RO33854 RO34481 RO35549 RO36611 TR33854 TR34481 TR35549 TR36611 TR46140 
MOD = DDSRVPR 

This is the list of PTF's superseded by RO46140 and it includes RO36611.
