cannot install on Win2012R2 because IISRoot missing

Issue/Introduction

IIS for Web Viewer 11_5.doc 

Problem: 

Cannot install the r11.5 Web Viewer on a Win2012 R2 Server. The install halts with a message,  IISRoot missing.

 

Environment:  

Windows 2012 R2 Server or Windows 2008 R2 Server

 

Cause: 

IIS Components required by Web Viewer are missing.

 

Resolution:

It's likely that not all of the IIS components required by the Web Viewer application were installed prior to attempts to install the Web Viewer. The Web Viewer install should proceed after the missing IIS components are added. Please see the attached file for examples of the components most likely to be missing and how to add them. IIS will need to be reconfigured.

 

Additional Information:

R11.5 Web Viewer is certified for Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows 2012 R2 Server.
