Issue/Introduction

Question:

When CA Datacom PC CALL module DBPCCPR or DBPCSPR is replaced via CAIRIM, is there any need to recycle the active CA Datacom Multi-user (MUF) or to refresh any transaction or application?

Version 14.0 RO87334, for example, has SMP/e HOLD ACTION to re-run CAIRIM to reinstall DBPCCPR, is this sufficient?

Answer:

The only requirement is to run CAIRIM to reinstall the PC CALL module(s) (via CA Datacom/DB job BDRIM01; CA Datacom/AD job AXRIM01).

The PC CALL module callers MUF and DBINRPR always use the current copy.

Any executing code in the old DBPCCPR/DBPCSPR continue executing in the old one but the next call is done in the new.
