Issue/Introduction

Issue

On the SOI-Spectrum connector server, in the log file <SOI Root>\log\SpectrumIM_Connector_<Spectrum Host>.log, if you found the following error:

"Connector host may not have permissions to connect to Spectrum Server 

Failed to Initialize the Connector" 

and this error will stop the connector from initializing.

Environment:  

This solution applies to all the versions of SOI-Spectrum connector server.

Cause: 

SOI-Spectrum connector server doesn't have the permission to access SpectroServer.

Resolution

Follow these steps:

1. Open the CA Spectrum Control Panel.

2. Select Configure, Host Security.

3. Enter the host name of the connector server in the text box in the Server List section, and then click Add.

The connector server is added to the Server List.

4. Click OK.

The Host Security dialog closes and the connector server can access the SpectroSERVER.

After adding connector server to Host Security list, please restart SOI-Spectrum connector from CA SOI Administration user interface to take effect.
