Encountering the following BPX message in the IEBCOPY MESSAGES AND CONTROL STATEMENTS output:
BPXF140E RETURN CODE 00000090, REASON CODE 0549010C. A LINK FAILED FOR LINK NAME /users/lpp/CA/caldapr151_maint/../authid.
What causes this?
It would appear that the problem is related to the path specified in in the CSM Install wizard for LDAP Server.
When specifying the path for your target USS directory, you include /CA at the end of the path to account for the SMP/E copy of the UNIX modules.
This is documented in the README Notes for LDAP server that can be displayed from the following CSM Install step 1 Introduction wizard screen.
<Please see attached file for image>
The README Notes details how the PATH should be specified in step 2:
2) Ensure that when specifying the path for your target USS directory, that you include /CA at the end of the path to account for the SMP/E copy of the UNIX modules.
For example, if /usr/lpp/caldapr15/CA is specified SMP/E will write a copy of the UNIX module to the /usr/lpp/caldapr15/CA directory and the executable version of the modules will be placed in the /usr/lpp/caldapr15 directory.
The target USS directory is specified in the following CSM Install step 5 'TargetZone Parameters' wizard screen.
