Issue/Introduction

Question:

In CA View, is the SARINIT parameter DBTHRESH 00,00 valid?

Answer:

The DBTHRESH format is as follows:

DBTHRESH=ii,dd

The ii is for the INDEX threshold
The dd is for the DATA threshold

If you specify 00 in either or both positions it will default to 80,80

When the threshold of the specific database component is reached (where ii specifies the index extent and dd specifies the data extent), the following respective messages are displayed:
SARDBI23 ...db_hlq...Index files(s) at 80% utilization
SARDBI23 ...db_hlq...Data files(s) at 80% utilization
