Issue/Introduction

 Issue

  When looking in the Investigator: SiteMinder>Policy><hostname>>Health>Sockets> "Currently in Use" and "Max Count", the metric data is not changing and   is always the same data.  If using the smpolicysrv -stats command you will find information like this, "Connections: Current=227 Max=1069 Limit=3440    Exceeded limit=0". It is not showing the "Current" Data but is displaying the "Max" and "Limit".

 

 Environment

  Using Siteminder Manager via APM to monitor SiteMinder.

 

 Cause

  This is a known issue in the SiteMinder software with not providing APM with the correct information.  You should open a case with the SiteMinder Support      

  team. 

  Have them refer to the Sustaining Engineering case titled: "Metrics reported by Wily for current sockets in use parameter is incorrect."

 

 Workaround

  When this article was written, there is no workaround, but the SiteNinder Development Team is currently working on the resolution.
