Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

 

After APPLYing maintenance to CA Top Secret Security for z/OS - MVS r15.0, we got an 'RC=12' with the message:

 

TSSC001E - USER DOES NOT HAVE AUTHORITY TO RUN THIS UTILITY 

...during the execution of the TSSCIALD Program.

 

Environment:

• CA Top Secret Security for z/OS - MVS r15.0.
• z/OS v1.13 or higher.

• The Job and ACID Authorities of the User that submits that the Job have not changed after the maintenance was APPLY'd.  The ACID has the following Administration Authorities:

  ACID       = REPORT,INFO

  MISC5      = DCLLIST

  MISC8      = LISTSTC,LISTRDT,LISTSDT

  MISC9      = GENERIC

Resolution:

The User that submits the Job has to have the CONSOLE Attribute, i.e. the CONSOLE attribute is required.  The  ACID needed:
