alert email shows localhost, resulting in an inaccessible link

Issue/Introduction

  An alert email has been set up with the parameter {URL_alert_info}.  However, this parameter displays the hostname “localhost” on the alert email.  That results in  

  an inaccessible link, as the recipients of the alert email are not typically on the EM server.

Environment

  Issue seen on APM 10.x.

Cause

  A property needs to be defined specifically, rather than using the default value.

Resolution

  Change the following configuration property to define the hostname:

  In IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.properties, set up introscope.webview.default.url=<URL path with fully qualified hostname>

  Then restart the EM and Webview.
