Use of scalability server Run in Bulk Update Mode Option

Issue/Introduction

A database update is made for each item like status messages and inventory records when "Bulk Update Mode" is set to FALSE. If it is set to TRUE, the scalability server caches all the job status messages and the inventory records and wait for scheduled time to update database in batches.

Client Automation: All versions

Resolution

This can be configured on Domain Manager Configuration Policy by following below step:

• Open ITCM Explorer 
• Go to Control Panel
• Configuration
• Configuration Policy
• Default Configuration Policy 
• DSM
• Right Click and Unseal 
• Software Delivery
• Scalability Server 
• Bulk Update: Run in bulk update mode . By default the setting is TRUE. 

 

Additional Information

There will be a delay in update of software installation records when scalability server is running in bulk update mode, because it stores the messages for bulk update and process it in scheduled time.
