Introduction: 

A management information base (MIB) is a database used for managing the entities in a communication network. Most often associated with the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). 

Question: 

Where can the SystemEDGE MIB definitions file be found? 

Environment

Windows /Unix

Answer: 

SystemEdge MIB definition file is named empire.asn1 and is located at mib sub-directory under systemEdge install path.

Ex: C:\Program Files\CA\SystemEDGE\mib\empire.asn1

In case that is required the AIM’s plugins MIB definition files, respective MIB files (.asn1 files) are located under plugins\[AIM_Name] path.

Ex: for caesadaim  AIM:
C:\Program Files\CA\SystemEDGE\plugins\caesadaim\caexchangeada.asn1

Additional Information:

 This apply to CAVAIM / SystemEDGE 12.7, 12.8 and 12.9 releases.
