Autoping -M localhost cannot be resolved

Issue/Introduction

autoping -M localhost' fails with

CAUAJM_I_50023 AutoPinging Machine [localhost] 

CAUAJM_E_10139 Localhost cannot be resolved to a machine definition.
CAUAJM_W_10109 Please define a single machine with the name 'log-machine-name' or specify an existing machine as the LocalMachineDefinition configuration variable.

Cause

machine "localhost"  cannot be resolved 

Resolution

- On Windows:

From This Program path: CA---> Workload automation AE ---> Administrator ---> Scheduler
Look for " localmachinedefinition" , and add the hostname in this field

- On UNIX machine:

Open the $AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV and look for " LocalMachineDefinition =
Add the local hostname

- Otherwise you can create a machine definition in Autosys with machine type 'a' and called "localhost"
