Question:
What is the significance of the yellow triangles that appear next to some PTFs on the CA Chorus Software Manager's (CSM) r 6.0 Products tab - when the release level is displayed?
<Please see attached file for image>
This is a sample screenprint of the Products tab/release level with some yellow triangles in the list.
Answer:
The yellow triangle can be found on the CSM Products tab when showing the maintenance available for a release of a product. PTFs flagged with a yellow triangle in the 'Confirmed Date' column are those considered new; meaning newly downloaded to CA CSM's software catalog. When you hover over the triangle, the context help shows: "New maintenance package". Applying the maintenance to an SMP/E environment has no effect upon this notification.
The status of NEW is based upon the "Maintenance Novelty Interval" which is specified in the user's settings as per the Settings Tab>User Settings>User Preferences; the default is 14 days. Assuming this default is used, PTFs downloaded at least 15 or more days before the current date are considered 'OLD' and the triangle will not appear in the Confirmed Date column.
