My data_engine won't start and I see licensing related errors in the data_engine log

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

You will see the following in the data_engine log:

Resolution:

  1. Check distsrv if it is active
  2. If distrsrv is active, check its logs for any errors
  3. Verify NMS Manager ->Security -> Probe Administration has an entry fo data_engine
