Issue/Introduction

Is there a facility to execute Thread Terminator for Db2 for z/OS (PTT) Main Menu option Update DB2 Parameters modifications
in batch mode via the Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS product suite.

Resolution

This is done using the Thread Term/Dynam DSNZPARM Batch Facility.


First generate sample JCL to use:

From DBM Solutions for Db2 for z/OS Post-Install Tailoring (INSMAIN) select option
2  Customize  - Execute product specific customization tasks,

Select the PTISYS Parmlib Member.....then the Product Customization screen is displayed. 

Select Product PTT:
S PTT     Thread Term/Dynam DSNZPARM

Option 7 will generate sample JCL to hlq.CDBASAMP called PTTBATCH.

This JCL can then be updated with the commands required to execute in batch.
