Unable to start caf and cam services on Unix servers after ITCM Agent installation.

CAF Service is not starting after ITCM Agent installation on Unix.

Following is the error message:

CAF Status:

Failed to send a message to caf: . Possible reason for this are:
the host may not be contactable, caf may not be running or caf is too busy
to reply.


select failed (15) unable to connect to CAM server.



Client Automation All versions


1. Please check to make sure that is mapped to localhost in the "/etc/hosts" file.

2. Then please modified the way the NSORDER is loaded by running following command:

    export NSORDER=local


edit file /etc/netsvc.conf in order to add this line :

hosts = local , bind
