Access Custom Dashboards Outside of UMP

Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

You may want to provide direct access to dashboards rather than require login to UMP.  This procedure shows how to do that.

Environment:

This is general information applicable to most versions of UIM.

 

Instructions:

For accessing a UMP custom dashboard externally to UMP, use the following construct:

http://ump.server.name/customdashboards/jsp/standalone.jsp?user=administrator&password=password&dashboard=test

where:

 

test = the name of the custom dashboard 

administrator = user 

password = password

Note that in this example, port 80 is assumed for UMP (default in UMP 2.5.1)  In older versions of UMP, you may need to provide a :portnumber after the UMP server name, such as "ump.server.name:8084 "
