Issue/Introduction

Issue:

The sla_engine probe will not start. The error:

Controller: Probe 'sla_engine' (command = <startup java>) returns no-restart code (42)

will appear in the sla_engine logs when attempting to restart the probe.

Resolution:

The error occurs whenever MS SQL Express is used for the database and the SQL Server Browser service is not enabled. This service must be running and should be set to Automatic Start whenever SQL Express is in use. Once the SQL Server Browser service is running, the sla_engine probe will restart successfully.
