Does CA UIM have any probe to monitor EMC VNX5700 Storage device?

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

For EMC VNX5xxx and VNX7xxx Storage device you see nulls for all monitor values as below:

I also see an indication that no disks or Lun's are detected, as shown here:

Environment: 

Any environment that is using the probe Clariion version under 1.62 and Celerra version under 1.64 in most cases.

 

Cause:

Not able the get the right values on the Clariion probe GUI.

 

 

Resolution:

Update to version Clariion 1.62 or above and Celerra 1.64 or above, if still does not work execute the procedure as below.

CA UIM does support EMC VNX 5000 and 7000 series celerra and clariion probes together.

To resolve the symptoms, you need to change the change the Scope from Global to Local.

Once you do this, you will be able to retrieve data from VNX storage devices.
