How to receive clear alarm e-mail notification

nas:  any version

Resolution

You can setup a Auto Operator profile in the NAS probe to send an email on an alarm clear message.

Set it up with Action of EMAIL to send a e-mail when the clear alarm occurs.

In your nas profile, check the appropriate severity (green for clear) or all severity's including clear so you will get an email when the alarm is cleared/closed.

Option:

In the nas under Setup->Message Supression, deselect Accept Automatic 'acknowledgement' of alarm and then you will see all OK/green/clear alarms in the console and in UMP. This option is either on or off and not settable per probe.

Make sure the profile is activated and restart the nas.
