Rename Deployed VM on VMware Aria Automation post deployment

Issue/Introduction

• You want to rename your VRA deployed VM's post deployment. 

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.x

Resolution

• This can be done by using the VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator workflow. 
• Steps below :

 

1. Login to the Aria Automation UI
2. Chose the Orchestrator Service --> Select workflows --> Search Rename Virtual Machine

3. Chose the virtual machine name to be renamed and put the new virtual machine name : 

Note: While putting the name of the VM to be renamed a window will open for vcenter inventory from where you need to chose and select the VM. 

 

4. Click Run
5. Wait for next data collection for the VC cloud account  on VRA (usually 10 minutes) for the new name of the VM to reflect.
