Issue/Introduction

Use the following procedure to monitor the health status of Aria Automation 8.x cluster and standalone deployments. This proactive health check validates cluster stability and resource utilization.

Symptoms:

In Aria Automation 8.x, formerly known as vRealize Automation,we can proactively monitor the health status of vRA cluster by using automated script.

VMware Aria Automation 8.x

Resolution

1. Steps to Run Health Check Script

   1. Download the Health.sh script attached to this article.
   2. Ensure the file format is .sh. If downloaded as a .txt file, rename it to Health.sh.
   3. Copy the script to the root directory of all cluster nodes using winscp.
   4. Execute the following command to provide execution permissions: chmod +x Health.sh
   5. Execute the script from the root directory: ./Health.sh

Parameters Displayed

The script runs at approximately 5-second intervals and displays the following:

• Cluster Health
• Services Status
• Pod Status
• Disk Space
• NTP Status
